Welcome

Explore our documentation to learn how to plan and deploy Dryad's Silvanet Wildfire Detection System in a forest.

Wildfires cause up to 20% of global CO2 emissions which is the same amount as the combined emissions from cars, aircraft and ships. Of the total emissions caused by wildfires, human activity is responsible for about 80% of those wildfires. This has a devastating impact on biodiversity as well as significant economic loss. Dryad's Silvanet Suite is designed to detect wildfires in their ultra-early stages.

Dryad's Silvanet Suite consists of four components, three of which are deployed in the forest: Border Gateways, Mesh Gateways and Silvanet Wildfire Sensors. The fourth component Silvanet Cloud connects to the deployed components via the Internet and displays sensor data (including fire alerts) in web and mobile apps.
