How do I use NFC to register a Silvanet device?

The Gen 3 Silvanet Border Gateway, Mesh Gateway and Wildfire Sensor include NFC to allow device registration using a Smartphone equipped with NFC.

NFC is available only for Gen 3 devices.

If the Silvanet device is a Gen 3 device and the Smartphone running the Deployment app is NFC-enabled, using NFC is mandatory.

1. Run the Deployment app.

2. Tap a Silvanet device from the list of devices in a Site.

3. After mounting the Silvanet device, tap Confirm and Register the Device.

4. On the Device Activation screen, tap Activation with NFC tap (Gen 3).

5. Start the activation process by holding an NFC-enabled Smartphone close to the embossed NFC Tag on the device.

6. After activation, the Deployment app automatically begins a Connectivity test.
