Range of Mesh and Border Gateways
Ensure Border Gateways and Mesh Gateways are within specified ranges of other gateways, use the following ranges as guidelines
Border Gateway range
The range of a Border Gateway to a Mesh Gateway is approximately 2 to 3 km. The actual range may vary depending on the Site topology. With direct line of sight between Border Gateways and Mesh Gateways, the range can exceed 3 km or even up to 8 km (during conducted tests).
Border Gateway to Mesh Gateway range
Mesh Gateway range
The range of a Mesh Gateway to a Border Gateway is approximately 2 to 3 km, while the range between two Mesh Gateways is 2 to 3 km. The actual range may vary depending on the Site topology. With direct line of sight between Mesh Gateways or between Border Gateways and Mesh Gateways, the range can exceed 3 km up to even up to 8 km (during conducted tests).
