Learn about the Silvanet system, Silvanet apps, calibration requirements and Silvanet fire detection.
The Silvanet System consists of a combination of hardware and software:
-
Silvanet Mesh Network: Consists of any number of Mesh Gateways that forward messages from sensors and other Mesh Gateways from deep within forests to one or more Border Gateways.
-
Silvanet Border Gateway: Relays messages between sensors and the Silvanet Cloud using the Silvanet Mesh Network. Connectivity to the Silvanet Cloud is via Ethernet, mobile networks or satellite.
-
Silvanet Mesh Gateway: Proprietary gateway that provides range extending capabilities by using the same network as the sensors to receive and forward messages on to other Mesh Gateways and/or Border Gateways.
-
Silvanet Wildfire Sensor: Attached directly to trees to detect environmental air quality within a radius of 80 m to 100 m (260 to 320 ft).
-
-
Silvanet Cloud Platform: Data sent from the Silvanet gateways are sent via the Internet to the Silvanet Cloud Platform, which is then provided to the Silvanet apps.
-
Silvanet Site Management app: Runs in a browser to prepare and manage Sites. When one or more sensors detect a fire, it displays fire alerts for users to take decisive action to put out fires.
-
Silvanet Deployment app: Runs on a Smartphone which allows users to locate and deploy Silvanet devices at their respective planned deployment locations.
